Precision machining every time.
Applications problem solving and dedicated engineering expertise are admirable qualities, but without the manufacturing capabilities to back them up, they don't mean much to the customer. At AO Precision, we understand the synergy of all aspects of the product development cycle which is why we place extraordinary emphasis on our manufacturing process. With over 65,000 square feet, translating to capacity in excess of 25,000 man hours per month, we at AO have made precision machining a way of life. To meet our customers' varied applications and stringent time requirements, we have invested heavily in the most advanced equipment and software available today. We’ve integrated all our CNC equipment to a computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) system to ensure exact tolerances (± .00015 on full travel and repeating accuracy with up to 14,000 r.p.m. spindle speeds) and a more cost-effective throughput. Our closed-loop MRP II manufacturing software generates material and manufacturing requirements automatically from order entry. And to meet JIT delivery commitments our work centers are capacity-loaded and can simulate capacity levels prior to actual order receipt. AO also provides total turnkey assembly operations and we pride ourselves on performing all operations in-house under our direct control. We employ statistical process control (SPC) throughout the production process enabling employees to monitor and chart measurements and verify that each machining step is within specification.

One step back and three steps forward.
AO Precision quality is more than a philosophy. Our unique four-part checkpoint system enables us to confidently stand behind the products we deliver. Starting with the raw materials, before we machine any piece, we analyze a sample from the raw material stock and test it against your specs for grade quality, tolerances and machinability. It’s a step backwards in the production process but one we feel enables us to deliver high quality end products to our customers. And we don’t stop there. During the production phase we pull a product off the line at predetermined intervals, checking tolerances, matching specs, contours, boring, and troubleshooting for potential problems. Our ASQ certified quality people utilize their training to provide mechanical inspection and metrology information for a myriad of industries. We offer first article inspection, third-party certifications, and general inspection services. Using a combination of over 5000 precision gauges and instruments, three computer-controlled coordinate measuring machines, and PC-based direct input statistical control workstations, AO Precision’s people are committed to delivering the best quality products on time... every time.
